📖 Introduction to Tajweed
Tajweed means “to make better” or “to improve.” In Quran recitation, Tajweed refers to the set of rules that help us pronounce each letter of the Arabic language correctly, just as it was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It ensures that we read the Holy Quran in the exact manner taught by the Prophet ﷺ, preserving the beauty, clarity, and meaning of Allah’s words.
Learning Tajweed is important because even small changes in pronunciation can change the meaning of a word. By applying Tajweed rules, we protect ourselves from mistakes, show respect to the Quran, and beautify our recitation.
Main Goals of Tajweed in Nazra Quran Learning:
-
Correct Pronunciation: Knowing the exact place (Makharij) from where each letter is spoken.
-
Clear Articulation: Pronouncing each letter fully and distinctly.
-
Following Recitation Rules: Applying elongation (Madd), stopping (Waqf), and other rules properly.
-
Beautifying the Voice: Reading the Quran with a pleasant and respectful tone.
In our Nazra Quran Class, Tajweed will be taught step-by-step, starting with the Noorani Qaida to master the letters, then moving toward Quranic words and verses. Even beginners will be able to recite the Quran fluently and accurately by the end of the course, In shaa Allah.
